Charles Massiatte

Investment Consultant

Charles is an Investment Consultant with Martin Capital Advisors. He consults with Paul Martin on national and local economic issues and investments. His focuses include: strategic business development, local and national market analysis, and cultivating clear and concise client support and relationships.

Charles received his Bachelor of Liberal Arts, cum laude, from Harvard University Extension School with concentrations in psychology and economics. While studying at Harvard, Charles completed Harvard Business School’s HBX CORe program, was a faculty research assistant to Dr. Doris Sommer–Director of Harvard’s Cultural Agents Initiative–collecting literary data on obscure 18th and 19th-century Afro-Latino writers, and was selected for the Harvard Innovation Labs’ inaugural Student Venture Network.

In addition to his academic interests, Charles has a passion for service and leadership in the San Antonio community. He is the founder and CEO of New Scholars of Texas, a 501 (c)(3) that facilitates Socratic seminars among the underserved sectors of San Antonio. He is a certified Shared Inquiry ™ instructor through the Great Books Foundation (Chicago, IL) in Socratic Method. Additionally, Charles serves on the advisory committee for the Thomas Jefferson Center for Core Texts & Ideas at the University of Texas at Austin, the San Antonio Public Library Foundation Great Books committee, and is co-chair of Young Professionals Network for LiftFund – the United States’ largest non-profit micro lending firm. He is an active member of the San Antonio Business and Economics Society, Harvard Business School Club of San Antonio, the downtown Rotary Club, World Affairs Council, the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Symposium Great Books Institute, Democracy/Constitution Café and the Southwest School of Art.
